San Antonio becoming known as Cyber City, USA – What is it and what does it mean?
Cyber Security is a real necessity that we all need to understand and practice. In this article we will define Cyber Security. In future articles, we’ll discuss how the San Antonio economy will benefit from being known as “Cyber City USA”.
San Antonio has different monikers and known by several names and industries. San Antonio has been called the Military City or the Alamo City and brought in visitors from all over for its tourism and the famous, historic missions. Because of USAA, some would even regard San Antonio as experts in the financial and insurance arena.
San Antonio is quickly becoming the industry leader in Cyber Security.

Pre-1970s History: Part I
History of San Antonio's Life Science andThe Medical and Life Sciences industry in San Antonio (SA) is not new. San Antonio’s history reflects a consistent example of successful public-private partnerships, particularly reflecting the strong military presence, which are brief references to history and over a century of medical, life sciences, and convergent technology industries in San Antonio. SA has had a recorded history from the St. Anthony day mass in 1691 through numerous immigrations, its selection as the Texas state capital in 1773, opening the first school in 1789, Battle of the Alamo 1836, Bexar County organized and city incorporated 1836-37, long history of medicine and health. In 1853 the Bexar County Medical Society (BCMS) in San Antonio was the first county medical society formed in the state of Texas and had 93 members in a city a population of 12,000 (BCMS now has over 4000 members and is the 8th largest in the US).
